Infection control and universal precautions protect staff and patients alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control — you, your dentist, other patients and the whole dental team. The cornerstone in a good and safe dental practice is the element of trust and we take this very seriously. All of our clinical team have regular training in infection control in the dental practice. Our practice follow the current guidelines for infection control in dental practice and the standards set by GDC.

These measures include:

We sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces.  We have a designated decontamination room in which we have processes to sterilize instruments. We use an autoclave device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure. This has safety checks every morning to ensure its working to the appropriate criteria. The best defense against disease is information. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make wise decisions about your health care. The more you know about our daily procedures and policies, the more comfortable you will feel.
