Covid-19 Update

To our lovely patients and friends

We are happy to announce we will be open from the 15th of June. This is really wonderful news and we are very excited to be able to see you at Spondon Dental again. We understand how difficult this time has been for many patients throughout the country who have been experiencing dental pain and discomfort and for those who have had to postpone routine treatment required to maintain their oral health.

We have been working hard over recent weeks to develop new protocols and systems to ensure we are ‘COVID SECURE’ for when you return to see us at the practice. Certain aspects of your visit to us at the practice will be different. All changes are being made with the aim of keeping you safe by maintaining social distancing, minimising contact and limiting travel, whilst still providing you with a pleasant and comfortable treatment experience. We’ve put together a patient journey guide to help you understand what to expect when you next attend the practice (please see this link below).

A steady approach to restarting our services is the most sensible and responsible way to act to ensure the safety of our patients, team members and the local community. With this in mind, we feel it would be best to open our doors to those patients who have been living with dental pain, infection and problems, since the start of the lockdown, and have been suffering during this time and been very patient. During this period of lockdown, we have kept robust records of patients who had a dental emergency and where we have had to cancel their routine or treatment appointments. If you have informed us of a dental problem then rest assured you are already on the priority list. We are aiming to deal with all urgent cases within our first two weeks of opening so that everyone else can start coming back for appointments from our third week onwards although we may need to change the timings. The phones are expected to be extremely busy so please bear with us if its engaged and call back at a later time if it’s not urgent. We understand that a lot of appointments have been cancelled during this period of lockdown and we will do our best to fit you in as every appointment is important, due to the new ways of working we have to allow more time in between certain appointments and so please continue to be patient and we will be doing our best to meet everyone's needs.
